Fortune Cookie

(Personal Medicine Chest)

Coiling sunbeams on a spool, rallying daydreams in a pool
gathering smiles inside a mug, soaking up warmth from within a hug;

Lacing up spirit in a bundle, absorbing courage during a rumble,
assembling full-blooms in a row, rounding the corpus by a rainbow;

For the moments filled with pain, for the hours of constant rain
for the pillows drenched with tears, all the nightwatchs spent with fears

Happiness always comes to the house filled with laughter.
Sadness choses the place filled with pain.
Whatever I‘m running through or running after,
It will always be the same, it will always be the same.

Picking up flowers at the roadside, stacking up stones to avoid a landslide,
grouping stars for too dark nights, summoning courage for future fights;

Collecting springtimes in my heart, building up stocks of health as a start,
trooping the good times of the past, to make the gorgeous feelings last;

So turn the table, turn the tide - Open up your soul so wide.
It's so easy to be true: This world can only mirror you.

Chorus

I carry my personal medicine chest always with me, within my breast
for the not that flourishing times. For now I’m gathering – just rhymes.
